RULES:

1. All teams to register maximum 6 players before start of league. A copy of a current ID is required for registration.
2. Competing teams shall consist of no more than four players on the night, 2 of which must be registered as part of that team.
3. All teams must sign in each week before quiz.
4. Points will be allocated as follows – 1st 10pts, 2nd 8pts, 3rd 6pts, 4th 5pts, 5th 4pts, 6th 3pts, 7th 2pts, and 8th 1 pt.
5. There will be only one league for both Ma Nolan’s pubs. The matches shall be played on Monday evenings at Ma Nolan’s Vieux Nice and Thursday evenings at Ma Nolan’s Nice Port. Both quizzes starting at 8.00 p.m.
6. Teams who play in both quizzes in the same week can use their higher score towards their league score. Their lower score will be discounted. Only one score a week will be counted towards the league table.
7. The league will run over 16 weeks with the best 14 scores counting towards the league table, allowing teams to discount their worst 2 scores.
8. The match shall consist of 5 rounds of 10 questions. Each wrong will last a maximum of 5 minutes. During this time all mobile phones must be placed on the table, face down. Player can not confer with people outside their team and if a player leaves the table during the round, they can’t return until after the round has completed and the answer sheets for that round have been collected.
9. If there is a dispute to the validity of a question (i.e. the answer written down is considered incorrect): - If a team gives an answer that is the same as the supplied answer then that team may have the points no matter how incorrect the answer may seem. A spare will be used if the question is not viable i.e. unreadable, missing or the question person reads the answer out by mistake, etc.
10.If at the end of the competition two teams have equal points, then the winning team will be decided through a sudden death tie break question at the last scheduled quiz night.
11. If any team is found cheating, (this include using a phone, laptop, pda, or conferring with someone outside there team during a round), that team will receive no points for that round. If this happens again, they will be disqualified from that quiz. Teams found cheating a 3rd time will be disqualified from the league.
